Founders
Irene Schneider
With a background in eco-product design, ceramics, and yoga, Irene brings a thoughtful, holistic lens to Studio Loka. Her grounded knowledge of spatial and 3D design, shaped by years as a product designer, lighting designer, and gallery installer, complements her big-picture thinking. Calm under pressure and clear in purpose, she excels at translating complexity into meaningful design. Outside Studio Loka, Irene facilitates wellness workshops, a participant in the Regional Arts WA’s Creative Leadership Program, and volunteers at community events such as the Djanjoo Koorliny conference.
Serena Pasco
Serena specialises in illustrative design and has a background in print and pre-press design. Throughout her long-standing partnerships with state government, community arts organisations, and the health and wellbeing sectors, she co-creates products for diverse, vulnerable, and marginalised communities, with inclusive design at the forefront of her work. Outside of her role at Studio Loka, Serena is a proud mother of two. She enjoys travelling and immersing herself in nature, and she is passionate about community engagement. She actively volunteers at events such as the Activate Tree Planting initiative and the Djanjoo Koorliny conference.
